St. Regis Osaka

St. Regis Osaka has only 160 guest rooms, giving it a boutique feel. It's located on floors 12-27 of Honmachi Garden City, which is peaceful yet conveniently close to public transport, high-end shops and entertainment districts. The hotel is near several stations, including Honmachi and Shin-Osaka. It’s also situated at the northern end of Shinsaibashi-suji, which is a covered shopping street for daily needs and food that leads to Dōtonbori. We opted to use this street daily since it was a reprieve from the elements and met all of our shopping needs including high end shops.

The St. Regis Osaka offers excellent hospitality with St. Regis Butler Service, including a tea and coffee service, garment pressing, and unpacking/packing services.  We took advantage of the butler service and garment pressing services and were very pleased with both. With the butler service we enjoyed complimentary beverages including tea, coffee, apple juice, and orange juice. I did miss the complimentary welcome champagne that the St. Regis Mexico City delivers to the room; apple juice just isn’t the same.

St. Regis used to offer the amazing Remede brand for toiletries, but now they have switched to Byredo products, which are just okay in comparison.  They are luxury products but I miss the Remede products and signature scent. The St Regis Osaka has luxurious and spacious bathroom. It features two sinks and separate facilities for a relaxing bath and shower, leaving us feeling pampered in no time. We had the opportunity to indulge in the bidet style toilet and enjoyed the added convenience of the TV in the tub, all while admiring the stunning cityscape view. We experienced the unique sensation of showering with jets on the wall and customized our shower experience with the movable wand.

The hotel offers a variety of dining options. From Italian cuisine at La Veduta to Japanese teppanyaki at Wajo, there is something for everyone. The French bistro, Rue d'Or, located on the ground floor, even has a grab-and-go pastry section, La Boulangerie, perfect for those on the go. Don't miss the St. Regis Bar for a nightcap or afternoon tea.

Indulgences are found throughout the hotel, from pampering and revitalization in the exquisite IRIDIUM featuring SOTHYS spa, to state-of-the-art machines in the well-equipped 24-hour Exercise Room.

Our stay was fantastic! The Kansai region was easily accessible from this amazing home base. We definitely recommend it! The St. Regis Osaka exemplifies the warm hospitality of Japan’s service culture with attentive, personal service.
